Refillable Eyeshadow Cases: 5 Options for Your Brand

Five refillable eyeshadow case designs from Sambound

Single-color eyeshadow cases serve different purposes. Some make it easy to carry one everyday shade, some showcase an uninterrupted powder surface, and others include a mirror inside the lid for touch-ups. For multicolor eyeshadow palettes, three long compartments and four square pans offer brands different ways to present a color combination.

Each of these five refillable eyeshadow cases from Sambound has a distinct reason to consider it. Brands can use our existing compartment layouts. If the number or arrangement of compartments does not suit a new product, we can also develop a separate compartment mold to create a replaceable insert that fits the selected outer case.

YR8008 Single-Pan Case with Mirror: Shade Display and Touch-Ups

Sambound YR8008 single-pan case with a mirror and separate refill unit

YR8008 has a rectangular hinged design. The catalog version features a glossy rose gold appearance and a mirror inside the lid. When opened, the single pan sits below the mirror, making this case suitable for single-color eyeshadow collections intended for mirror-assisted touch-ups.

The interior has one uninterrupted pan area, without multiple compartments, to keep the focus on a single shade. The outer case combines the color pan and mirror, meeting the need for a mirror even in a single-color format. The matching refill unit separates from the outer case, allowing brands to develop refills while users keep the case and its mirror.

YR3003 Small Square Case: One Shade to Take Along

Sambound YR3003 small square single-pan case with a clear window and separate refill unit

YR3003 is a small square case. The catalog version pairs a glossy teal frame with a clear lid window, keeping the pan visible when closed. It suits individual eyeshadow shades sold in small cases or an everyday shade carried in a makeup bag.

The appeal is the combination of a small case and a single compartment: users who want just one shade can carry it without taking a whole multicolor palette. The clear window also helps distinguish shades while the case is closed. The matching refill unit separates from the outer case, supporting an ongoing collection of individual shades and refills built around the same case design.

YR8009-3 Three-Compartment Case: A Clear View of Three Shades

Sambound YR8009-3 case with three long rectangular compartments and a replaceable whole tray

YR8009-3 has a square outer case with a clear lid window. Its glossy silver-gray frame surrounds three long rectangular compartments arranged side by side. This layout separates three shades clearly and suits an everyday trio, such as a base shade, a transition shade, and a deeper shade in one case.

For collections that keep the shade count limited and make the color combination easy to follow, three compartments offer a coordinated set without adding more shade positions. This design uses a replaceable three-compartment tray, allowing the color combination to be changed as a set. The entire tray is the replacement unit.

YR8009-1 Single-Pan Case: Space for an Uninterrupted Powder Design

Sambound YR8009-1 square single-pan case with a clear window and separate tray

YR8009-1 is a square case with a clear window. The catalog version has a glossy light gold frame and one continuous pan area inside. It is an option for brands that want a signature shade or a full powder-surface design to be the visual focus.

With no compartment dividers, a pattern can extend across the powder surface without interruption. The clear window keeps that display visible when the case is closed, making the design suitable for limited-edition themes or single-color collections that emphasize the powder’s appearance. The single-pan tray can be replaced as a whole, allowing brands to develop matching refills for this display case.

YR3005 Four-Pan Case: A Full View of a Themed Color Collection

Sambound YR3005 four-pan eyeshadow case with individual square pans

YR3005 has a nearly square body, a rose gold frame, and a large clear lid window. Four square pans sit in two rows and two columns. The full color combination remains visible when closed, making it suitable for everyday four-color eyeshadow palettes, festive themes, or coordinated palettes included in gift sets.

The four-pan layout can bring a base shade, a transition shade, a deeper shade, and an accent shade together, reducing the need to store several single-color cases separately. This model uses individual square pans as its refill units. For brands planning to offer replacement pans, the layout allows users to keep the outer case and replenish the contents.

Need a Different Compartment Count? We Can Develop a Separate Mold

Sambound’s existing compartment inserts are replaceable. If our existing four- or five-compartment layouts do not meet your brand’s requirements, we can develop a separate compartment mold to create replaceable inserts with different compartment counts. Whether you need more shade positions, fewer positions, or a different arrangement, the layout can be designed around the new product’s color collection.

During customization, the shade count, the size of each pan, and the space inside the outer case need to be defined together. The insert holds and positions the pans, while separately supplied aluminum pans contain the powder. The new compartment layout therefore needs to fit both the aluminum pans and the selected case. Where the new layout fits an existing outer case, the exterior design can be retained while development focuses on the insert and color combination.

Developing a new compartment count involves the compartment mold and insert design. Routine refilling after launch uses the replacement unit matched to that case design. Existing case designs can therefore support both the development of eyeshadow collections and the matching refill range.
