Many people wander far from home because there is no work where their families live, and no family where the work is. Some head north, others go south — I am one of the latter. While the north is covered in snow, the south stays warm. As the year draws to a close, I’d like to share my experience as a “Nanpiao” girl working in a cosmetic packaging injection molding factory.
About the Factory
I work at Sambound (Dongguan Chengbang New Material Technology Co., Ltd.), a mid-sized OEM/ODM manufacturer dedicated to cosmetic packaging with one-stop services from R&D and design to mold making, production, and sales.
- Facilities: 8,000+ m² modern plant
- Equipment: 50+ high-precision injection/blow molding machines, 5 CNC units, 15 EDM centers, two automatic coating lines, vacuum metallization machines, and more
- Capabilities: product design → mold manufacturing → injection & blow molding → surface finishing → assembly/packaging
- Main Products: lip gloss tubes, lipstick tubes/cases, eyeshadow palettes, compact powder cases, loose powder containers, mascara tubes, and eyeliner bottles
My Role
I handle online marketing & operations — connecting our products and services with customers worldwide. Each day I reply to inquiries and answer technical questions, so I continuously learn about injection molding and cosmetic packaging manufacturing to offer accurate solutions.
Insights from My “Nanpiao” Journey
- Dongguan lives up to the name “World’s Factory”. Even when global supply chains are tight, production here keeps moving.
- The South’s manufacturing power is outstanding. A complete supply chain and convenient import/export make work highly efficient.
- Compared with Beijing or Shanghai, Guangdong shines in manufacturing depth. It covers countless industries and is rooted in making things well.
